I'm becoming really interested in being able to provide this service for a reasonable amount of money to etsy sellers who don't have time, don't want to battle taking photos or just want something that looks professional. It could take a lot to promote this and I'm not even sure if this is a service vendors would be interested in, but I would like to try it! I would LOVE feedback from vendors as to whether they would find this service helpful and of course, as much help promoting as possible.
I need 3 vendors to volunteer to have me shoot their product FOR FREE! for my portfolio too :) thanks!
Yesterday I took some pictures for a series of paintings I want to have completed by the time of the Mourning Market. I have one completed that sold thanks to my friend Annie's hilarious antics with some Cannoli I had made last year and I wanted to continue that. I t was so fun having 2 of my favorite ladies helping me with this they made me crack up and really got into it. Thanks! Can't wait to start on the paintings :) Those however I will probably keep to myself until The Mourning Market ;) So you should probably come to that.
p.s. The last 2 photos in this slideshow are the painting I did of annie and a very old picture of me :)
Looks like I will be at this upcoming Mourning Market! Always so much good stuff there, it's very worth checking out on a lazy Sunday :)
My art will be showing at the Luminarte Gallery in Dallas through the month. The opening is on Sat, March 5th at 7pm. If you or any of your friends live in Dallas encourage them to check it out! :) I won't be at this one I'm afraid but I will be at another art show in New York April 21st for the Antagonist Movement and I hope to see some friends at that one :)
This is my first blog, I tend to shy away from them but here goes nothin!
I just got back from California. First I visited some family and then I was determined to have a couple of days staying in DT LA to get some photos and inspiration for new pieces. Ideally I would have liked to get some shots in Hollywood too, but I didn't have time. I'm working on a new Peg Entwistle piece and am having trouble getting the right angle and shot of the Hollywood sign.....ANYWAY! I did get to stay in a cheap hotel downtown, The Mayfair. Because of it's age I was hoping it would prove to be more inspirational but unfortunately it got a BAD renovation probably sometime in the 70's. It was kinda dirty and there were a few sketchy people staying there but they really do try and you have to give them credit for that. I also had time to shoot the Theater District, so that was good. I'm planning a big piece paying homage to it's decline since inception. I think a lot of my new work is going to be about L.A. I guess I'm still feeing conflicted about the place after leaving and this is my way of working it out. Anyway! for now here are some photos I took! Hope you enjoy them :)
