Some good stuff being said online about American Obscura Tarot!
" Just got the American Obscura Tarot, and I love it !!!!
It's is a fun little ride through the darker side of American Culture and the booklet that comes with it is quite a delight."
"I'm stunned by the beauty of this deck. I feel like it's an important artistic accomplishment, and every pictorial card contains a myriad of amazing stories. "
"This deck is gorgeous! I keep flipping through it just to drink in your art! "
"very dark and atmospheric, and definitely one of those deck you hate or love I'm in the loving it part, it has lots of personality, the kind that is it where a person you'd encounter in the bar after midnight telling all kinds of strange and enticing (but true) stories and adventures. "
Very soon, I will have more information on the next run of cards. It's coming along and undergoing some changes :)

Alright well that's that all. I am out of tarot decks from my very first ever run of the deck. I wish I could get some before Christmas but I have some logistics to think about first and will inform you immediately if I come up with a possibility for a holiday gift. I'm really thrilled that the response has been good and the decks have been very well received and although the rush week I've been preparing for for 6 months just finished yesterday, after a couple of days of some long overdue housework and movie watching, I promise to get back to work and start deciding my next move :)
Readings for the new year and Valentines day
I gave quite a few readings at the Mourning Market last Sunday and REALLY felt it went well. I enjoyed it and have had some great feedback from people who participated. I would love to have a Tarot party for the new year and am in the process of working out the details. If you would like to have a tarot reading party with you and your friends at your place I am very open to that idea too. Drink wine and take turns getting a look at what you have in store for you next year. Just contact me via email to hash out the details firstname.lastname@example.org any other questions you have about your deck or readings, I look forward to hearing from you. Everyone have a great Holiday!

"Dear mailman sir, I am home and anxiously awaiting your arrival! Please Knock! Thank You :) "
reads the note on the front door of my apartment. I'm expecting my decks to arrive today! and I'm VERY excited and also afraid my EXTREMELY angry mailman won't make much of an effort to drop them with me hand to hand. So I'm just sitting on the edge of the couch and ready to jump up as soon as I hear him outside!
Breaking in your Deck
I would like to offer some suggestions for those that will be receiving their decks in the mail soon as to how to familiarize yourself with the deck and for the deck to familiarize itself with you!
I feel like the best way to make your deck your own is to grab one end with your pointer finger and the other end with your thumb and squeeze to flip the cards all over the floor and pick them up one by one and put them back together. Remember, when your doing this and shuffling the cards, that they have both upright and reversed meanings, so don't make an effort to get them all facing upright. Just casually put them back together as you see fit. Trust your guts.
Another way to acclimate to your deck is just to handle it often. Hold them while sitting on the couch or whenever you have free time. I would bet this will help your readings be as accurate as possible.
Please make sure to let me know if you have any questions about your deck, the book, a reading and so on. I'm more than happy to help everyone as much as possible.
annnnddd as soon as I finished writing this, it was here!!
